The Don River Awakens
The Don River Awakens is a community-driven event produced by Public Great celebrating the ecological and cultural rebirth of Toronto’s Portlands and the Don River. Together with the City of Toronto, community, and cultural institutions we celebrated the development of Ookwemin Minising through public art, movement, and workshops. This ongoing project blends Indigenous knowledge, local artistry, and ecological storytelling to inspire awareness and shape the long-term cultural and community leadership on the island.
Weston Loop
The Weston Loop is longterm development project building on the identity of the much-loved park network in the Weston neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario, knitting the parks together with novel connections and destinations through a 4-km multi-use trail. The community-led project, advised by Public Great, aims to breathe new life into 74-acres of green spaces, enhancing their appeal and accessibility for families and residents of all ages.
